Camp Philosophy

Since 1993, teenagers from all over the Southeast have attended an extraordinary week of uplifting, inspired and progressive discipleship training for teens — Unidiversity.

Begun with a small group of five churches, the camp has grown to over twenty churches from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia and Kentucky.

The underlying focus of the camp has always been two-fold...

We help youth see themselves as unique individuals crafted by the creative power of a loving God who revealed Himself in Jesus the Christ.

We help youth see themselves as a member of God's larger Church, which represents many different gifts, talents, styles and viewpoints.

This spirit has encouraged teens from a variety of backgrounds to be involved with Unidiversity. Adolescents from inner-city missions, from small rural congregations and large suburban churches attend. From theology to worship style, Unidiversity attempts to help teens see there can be unity among God's children when we love each other in Christ Jesus and celebrate our diversity ... our UNIDIVERSITY.

One of our youth ministers offered this description of Unidiversity a few years ago. It embodies the basics of the Unidiversity experience.

Who plans?

Youth ministers that attend camp help make it possible by planning all of the necessary details!

We ask youth ministers and chaperones to help lead activities, including Bible Studies, Seminars, and Electives. Without these folks to help, there would be no camp!

What's my next step?

If you're a teenager, then you better tell your youth minister about camp!

Parent? Call the church office today!

And for all of you youth ministers, we're waiting on your phone call to sign your group up for our next camp in July!
